View turtles laying and hatching

Island cruising

Mon Repos beach is home to Australia's best known and most accessible sea turtle rookery, and it is a short drive away from our resort. During November to March, ranger guided tours operate on the beach, giving you the unique opportunity to watch sea turtles nesting and hatchlings make their way to the ocean.

Rangers take groups of visitors down to the beach at night, and provide lots of infomation about the turtles, the purpose of the rookery, this unique environment and the research that takes place.

For more information on what can be expected on your exciting turtle tour download our turtle information sheet.
