Whale watching on the southern great barrier reef

Get up close and personal with migrating Humpback Whales as they make their way along our ‘Humpback Highway’ on the Southern Great Barrier Reef. The whale season kicks off in July and continues through to the beginning of October each year.

Half day whale watching tours operate with Australia Whale Experience departing from Bundaberg Port Marina, Burnett Heads.

Australia Whale Experience offers you the chance to see whales up close aboard the Reef Empress on one of Lady Musgrave Experience’s Whale Watching Day Tours. For many guests, this is an experience of a lifetime.
