Burrum Coast National Park – Burrum Coast National Park includes protected and secluded beaches, Woodgate and Kinkuna. The Kinkuna section offers a picturesque beach, tea-colored waterways, and flat plains. Woodgate features wheelchair-accessible boardwalks and walking tracks leading to viewing platforms, fishing spots, and a bird hide.
Cania Gorge National Park – Cania Gorge National Park showcases towering cliffs, ancient caves, and sheltered gorges preserving Indigenous art and providing habitat for diverse wildlife. Choose from eight walks varying in length and difficulty. Keep an eye out for platypus in the creek and peregrine falcons soaring above the cliffs.
Mount Walsh National Park – Mount Walsh National Park features an impressive granite Bluf, perfect for family BBQs, challenging hikes to the summit, and refreshing swims in Waterfall Creek Utopia Rock Pools. Explore the park by 4WD and discover the stunning Coongarra Rock granite monolith.
Good Night Scrub National Park – Good Night Scrub National Park is a peaceful bush retreat nestled in a hoop forest, Kalliwa Hut provides a picturesque bushland setting for picnics. The park is home to 166 bird species and 60 butterfly species. One Tree Hill Lookout offers panoramic views of the North Burnett.
Cordalba National Park – Surrounded by Cordalba State Forest, Cordalba National Park is a haven for mountain bikers with rugged hills and open eucalyptus woodland. Campers can enjoy the company of possums and gliders in this nature retreat.
Coalstoun Lakes National Park –Â Formed over 600,000 years ago, Coalstoun Lakes National Park features Mount Le Brum, one of Australia’s youngest volcanic formations. The short hike to two craters rewards with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Auburn River National Park –Â Auburn River National Park offers a contrasting landscape with a snaking river against magnificent water-sculpted granite. Camp in a picturesque bush setting, birdwatch with binoculars, and keep an eye out for wallabies.
Agnes Water and 1770 is surrounded by magnificent National Parks, Eurimbula National Park to the north and Deepwater National Park to the south.
Eurimbula National Park – Eurimbula National Park features sandy beaches, pristine waterways, and windswept headlands adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef Coast Marine Park. It features a transition of vegetation and landforms that are unique to Central Queensland.
Deepwater National Park – Deepwater National Park boasts diverse vegetation including coastal scrubs, eucalypt woodlands, and wet heaths. Deepwater Creek supports a variety of birdlife, including emus, red-tailed black-cockatoos, and turtles nest/hatch at Deepwater Beach from October to April.
